vinegar and headaches

I am 83 but still remember my late grandmother putting a cloth saturated with vinegar on her forehead when she had a headache. I am not sure if it worked or not but she always did this when a headache would pop up. Dont know if was white or ACV. It might be worth a try .....who knows ?????
